Well I just bought one...it's a Conair Ionic thing...
i tried using it, and i find it really dries my Hair, but it doesn't keep the
curl in...it sort of just straightens it and then poofs it out...
How do i control it? first i was sort of combing the diffuser through my hair, is that right? do i need to spin it??
i have bi-racial curly hair that is relaxed, so it is very big and poofy.
If a diffuser isn't working, tell me how i can define my curls so they are soft and bouncy, and also what products to use

OH SWEETIE use olive oil its great just a drop will do its not at all oily you just use a drop makes hair shiny managable lustrous calms and tames frizzies and defines curl Bi-racial very curly hair. I just bought a hair blow dryer diffuser....?

I would like to buy a hair / blow dryer for my girlfriend as a Christmas present. What should I buy?
First of all she would NOT appreciate something that is wildly expensive. So I鈥檓 looking for something reasonably priced.
She鈥檚 complimented on her hair all the time and one of her claims-to-fame is she will blow dry her hair with cold/unheated air. She won鈥檛 always have the time for this so she does use heat sometimes.
She doesn鈥檛 do anything special with her hair. Just blows it straight.
The more compact it is the better.

I have extremely thick 4b hair also. I used to have a golden hot hair dryer with the comb and it worked very well and costs me about 30 some bucks. The ionic hair dryers are good because they get the hair dryer and straighter with less time and effort but they are going to cost a lot more. I belive Ion has an ionic dryer and you can purchase it at Sallys. FHI also has a very good dryer but be prepared to spend at least 200 dollars.What's the best Hair/Blow dryer for 4B African American Hair?

You put the diffuser on one spot and use little circular motions, then move it to another spot and repeat. Diffusers are usually used for creating volume, but not for drying your entire head. They work best on curly hair because they allow some curl to linger instead of making hair poofy.
If you are trying to use your hair dryer to straighten and shape your hair, use a concentrator instead.
In terms of shampoo and conditioner, I recommend Bed Head.Hair blow dryer diffuser...help?!?

its for somone who has curly hair so if you dont have curls maybe you should use the kind that has a little triangle looking thing on it haha i forgot what its called.
