Why do the new hair blow dryer have cold shot setting?

and how to benefit from that setting it is said that it is ideal for setting long-lasting style into placeWhy do the new hair blow dryer have cold shot setting?
good question, i think it is because if it gets to hot outside to have hot air blasting at your face it would come in handy but it cold just be the wanted to and another feature to have a reason to make it more expensive

In case you do not like to style your hair with heat you can do it with cold air.... i think
Hot air fries your hair, but cold air is not only healthier, but it also locks the style into place
its supposed to make ur hair hold its style longer as well as making it shiny and smooth

cold air shines and keeps ur hair in the style u want it, all though if u have too much cold air it may flatten it.

just like when u put cold water in ur hair..makes it shiny.

hope i helpedd=] i didnt know this either until i read my hair dryer box a little while ago.
i really dont know
It's meant to set your style after your hair is completely dry. Say you want to set your bangs, then blow dry regularly and finish off by hitting the cool shot button. It will lock your style in place.
it's so it doesn't fry your hair
the hot air dries your hair beyond what it needs. it literally cooks your hair. the cold air relaxes your hair and makes it stronger.
heat drying opens your cuticle while you are styling so by hitting it with cool air afterward it puts your cuticle back into place which into locks in a style as well as gives added shine!
Not really, its just sometimes the dryer is so hot that you need cool air blowing on your head
